Another weekend, another adventure. Friday after class we all went home for lunch, packed and met up at the bus station, hopped on the next bus and were on our way to Manuel Antonio. **note, your tickets have numbers on them, they take your ticket at the bus door, remember you seat number and sit there. There were two other lovely travelers not with us who didn't follow this rule, had two of our seats and were extremely confrontational. A little bumpy start but nothing to worry about. It was about a 3 1/2 hour bus ride to Quepos, then a 15 or so ride to our hostel in Manuel Antonio. Right as we got there is started pouring rain, but we were all starving so our survival instincts kicked in and we tromped through the rain anyways to find dinner. After dinner we all just hung out until we pretty much passed out.Saturday we woke up bright and early to go on a hike through the National Park to see animals. We decided to spring for a guide because he said he'd bring his telescope and find us animals... TOTALLY worth the extra $7 (i know, really breaking the bank). We saw bats, snakes, frogs, SLOTHS!!!, butterflies, realllly cool other bugs, iguanas, and i don't really remember what else but it was fantastic. On out hike we stopped at this amazing beach, we were the only ones there for awhile, so beautiful. We finished the hike, got lunch and beached it for a little while....then it started raining. haha so we packed up, hopped on the next bus to Jaco. There we wandered around a little and got dinner at Taco Bar, seriously the BEST fish tacos of my life. After dinner the group split a little, most stayed but Annemarie, Becca and I went on an epic search in the pouring rain for the closest bus stop. After practically jumping into the middle of the road to get it to stop for us we were on the last bus headed into Puntarenas for the night. We're planning for an adventurous Sunday.
