This Christmas is a special one. I feel like I'm remembering more than ever the real meaning of Christmas. I'm so grateful for my religion, for the truths that I know and the joy and peace it brings into my life. This time of year there are constant reminders of the Savior and his love for us. Material gifts are just substitutes, the only true gift is to give a portion of yourself.
"...They presented him with frankincense and myrrh. These are not the gifts that Jesus asks of us. From the treasure of our hearts Jesus asks that we give of ourselves." -- President Thomas S. Monson
I urge us all to remember the real meaning of Christmas. To love our families and give meaningful gifts to others, not mere material, but gifts of love. Merry Christmas!
ps. One thing that I've reestablished is my love for is the Book of Mormon. It gets me through my best and most difficult days.
